Veer inks contract with Pattern Energy

Veer Renewables is thrilled to be working with Pattern Energy, a leading US developer of wind farms. Our work will focus on optimizing Pattern’s operational performance assessment methods, leveraging the latest advancements in meteorology and machine learning.

The impact of this work will be significant. Pattern Energy has swung big with recent wind farm construction, culminating with the 2021 commissioning of the Western Spirit Wind Project in New Mexico. With a total 1,050 MW capacity, Western Spirit is the largest single phase wind farm ever constructed in the Americas. On this scale, even slight improvements in operational assessment accuracy can pay huge dividends.

“We’re beyond excited to work with Pattern Energy”, says Mike Optis, president of Veer Renewables. “They’re pushing the boundaries of what modern wind farms can do, and we’re thrilled to combine their world-class data with our state-of-the-art methods to raise the bar in operational performance assessment accuracy.”
