Mike has a PhD in atmospheric physics from the University of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, and specialises in renewable energy meteorology and asset performance optimisation. After graduating with a doctorate in 2015, Mike joined UL Renewables as a Research Scientist bringing academic excellence to the private sector. Following his passion for research, Mike accepted a role as Senior Scientist at the world-class National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Boulder, Colorado where he collaborated extensively within the private, public and institutional sectors. Upon his return to Vancouver Island, Mike was a Senior Data Scientist with EDF Renewables, working closely with the owner/operator in helping to advance the transition of renewable assets before starting Veer Renewables. Mike is detail-oriented and thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments where results are critical for decision-making.
